The idea behind this shift is that the term for 'house' metaphorically reflects the conjoining of component parts of the poetry verse (from smaller to bigger), one to another, in a particular manner, like as those of a tent or a house are conjoined in its construction (see Lane:280, also Taj al-Arus 4:460).
