Arb. zenqa 'street' (Richard S.
Harrell:245). |
There is a theory that Akk. sūqu 'street' stems from **zqq < *znq (with assimilation n to q). Arb. ضَيِّق ḍayiq- 'narrow' is also considered to be connected etymologically.
